Heavy Hitter Network Marketing Tips Revealed

Network Marketing Tips

You may have been trudging along with your network marketing business for some time, or possibly you’ve just started. Either way, you could be thinking there are some things you could be doing easier or faster, or just that there must be some secrets you don’t know. You see indications everywhere online, those “secret network marketing techniques” but you’ve not been able to find anything that works for you.

Below these are some of the things the heavy hitters in the business do to stay successful. Some may seem rather basic, but if you’re not doing them, you’re working with your hands tied behind your back.

Network Marketing Tips

Remember it is a Business: Heavy hitters think about their businesses all the time, you need to too. They know that network marketing is a business and not something they can do just when they feel like it. It’s likely you started in network marketing to earn some extra money, or perhaps you wanted to quit your day  job to become a full-time internet marketer. But after months and months of seeing no results you’re most probably not approaching your business with the same passion any more; in truth just losing interest. After weeks of slogging along without any significant results, you may be just doing it half-heartedly and now only work on your business when you’re in the “right mood”. That’s never going to cut it.

Recommit to the Why: What you should have done when you first started was to write down a list of goals and the reasons why you started this business in the first place. If you didn’t then, write down that list of goals now. Make them real. Think of how you’ll feel when they come true. How will your life be different? Will you live in the same place? Drive the same car? What will you be able to do for your family?

Once you’ve written down your goals and reasons, post the in an obvious place where you pass by frequently. This way you will be reminded frequently of why you are doing what you are doing, giving you continual motivation.

Commit to a Schedule: Make yourself a schedule, the hours you can dedicate to your business. Even though it may be a few hours on your day off or two or three hours on Saturday and Sunday, write it down and stick it on the wall. You have got to dedicate your time to your business, just like the heavy hitters do.

This is even more critical when you’re just starting. Then almost anything you do within your business will need to be done by you. Are you giving it your best? To evaluate, stand back and think as if you were an employer asking you to do this job, would you be happy with your performance and dedication? If not, go back and meditate on your goals list until your “why” builds a burning compulsion driving you to excellence in execution.

Connect with Other Networkers: Network marketing forums are wonderful places to get information and you should find one you like and spend a little time each day picking up some helpful tips. Get involved in discussions and ask questions. Regular forum members are full of excellent ideas and tips. Just be careful not waste all your time on these forums. Limit yourself to something like 15 minutes in the morning or evening for your visit. Although learning should always be part of your business system, don’t spend all day chatting on forums. You have income producing work to do!

Be an Expert on your Product: Do you remember why you joined your MLM company? You were probably extremely excited about the product, and others can feel that same energy. You need to learn all you possibly can about it. If you are not eager yourself then how do you expect to get people interested in it?

Connect with your Upline: The last two paragraphs were essentially about learning and educating yourself.  But remember to also reach out to your upline. They have been through this too, and ought to be your mentors. Learning from them indicates you can also become an effective leader for your own downline – your eagerness should rub off on them, inspiring them to help you even more.

Ask for Help: Don’t feel isolated and annoyed because you don’t know how to ask for help. If you see someone who is successful, make it a point to ask them how they are doing what they’re doing. Always ask for guidance. Ask about what kind of systems they are using.

Ask them to offer you some tips about the best way to do particular things. Success isn’t genetic, you need to figure out why others are successful. Let them give you their tips and clues to success. That way you can test them out, make any adjustments specific to your company, and then pass them on to your downline.

It is important that people listen to the words of Kay: “Network marketing isn’t designed to make you rich overnight. I think too many novices think that if they just find that program, they will automatically hit it big, like a sort of MLM lottery. Nothing could be further from the truth. Network marketing is just like any other business in that you have to work it and grow your profit tree.

I read on some facts report that there are in excess of 1,000 Network Marketing firms that distribute over $100 billion a year in goods and services. It is estimated that eight to ten million Americans are either part-time or full-time distributors. Tens of millions more are customers. The later of those stats is what is most exciting to me because it means there is a huge market of buyers which equals more potential revenue.

Network marketing is a really popular and efficient business model, but it sometimes remains misunderstood. There are many myths about it and the manner in which it works. People say those on Top of the Network Make the Most Money. This fact is true for most business models. The managers and executives are the individuals that started it all and the ones responsible for successes and failures. Mr. Spock would say, “It is logical for these people to be making more.

This is a great post and you have some good ideas when it comes to marketing, do you see marketing as one of the most important of jobs when you are just starting up? I have heard both that it isn’t and that it is so I thought it best to just ask an expert on the marketing subject. Please post a response if you would I am sure I’m not the only one curious.

One of the favorite stories in network marketing is that you only have to sponsor “X” people, then they sponsor “X”, and so on. Typically “X” is 2 or 3 three people, so it sounds like anyone can do it. The problem is, very few people actually do their “X”. Therefore, if you personally want to be successful enough to replace your income, you need to personally sponsor more like 100 people. Most people can’t do that through their friends and family, so without marketing, you’re not going to get there. To answer your question, then, you absolutely, positively need some form of marketing if you want to make significant money, and that marketing needs to have an audience beyond your friends/family.

I think it is important to practice what they teach. To succeed, you need to be willing to listen and learn from mentors. The way this industry is structured, it’s in the best interests of the [MLM veterans in your company] to help you succeed, so they’re willing to teach you the system. Whatever [your mentor] did to become successful, it’s very duplicable, but you have to be willing to listen and be taught and follow those systems.

Like anything else, you need to be educated about the methods of network marketing, if you want to be successful. I think it is wise to tell yourself the truth about what it is that you intend to do. Perhaps you are only interested in approaching network marketing in a casual, informal way. Having clear intentions with authentic effort, will equal the success of many in any enterprise. I still think it is tough to market anything in today’s competitive market.

I always s thought that network marketing was like a pyramid scam and was illegal. I would like to learn more about this then just what you have posted here so I think I will do some more research and then post what I find. Keep up the good work you have done a great amount of work here for the betterment of a lot of people.

      Joseph-
Some MLM’s are illegal, but most are fine. Amway (the largest of them all) spent years fighting that fight, and established the legal precedence for the industry that they are a legal form of doing business. Some of the things that you’re not allowed to do as a distributor are to promise income, describe earnings in a way that sounds like a return on your investment, or discuss your income without also sharing a company generated average income disclosure statement. Those kinds of things are all very taboo. and even if the company is actively discoursing their reps from making any of these claims, if enough reps do it, the SEC can and will shut the company down. (I’ve lived through that; not fun.) That’s one of the reasons it’s so important to brand yourself with attraction marketing principles vs. just as a distributor of “X” company, and create multiple streams of income in your business. That way if something does happen to the company, you’ll still be ok.

Network marketing hasn’t been around that long has it? I was thinking it might have started up this last year really heavy but before that you really didn’t hear that much about it right? Thank you for posting this I have been looking forward to try this and now that I have done some more research into it I am definitely going to do it.

I have noticed that there are no shortage of myths associated with network marketing. One of the most common myth is that MLM is a pyramid scheme or a Ponzi scheme. An MLM has nothing to do with either of these illegal business structures and the only way to dispel this myth is to explain to someone who raises this objection is how an MLM business is structured in comparison to these two scams.

Once I started to do searches in order to learn about network marketing, I soon found that there are all kinds of programs and business models, particularly with multi level marketing. It can get confusing real quick. After you start to dig deeper, it can get somewhat confusing and it can become difficult to distinguish between the good programs from the bad, or between the good and the scams.

Matthew- You’re right in that there are some scams out there, but most of them are solid, legal companies. You do need to perform your own due diligence, especially if there’s a high fee to join or you have to buy a significant amount of product upfront. A couple things I use to help evaluate: 1) What is the payout rate of the company’s profits to it’s distributors? Anything over 50% is tough for them to sustain and would be a red flag. 2) What is the customer to distributor ratio? Ideally you want 4 or more customers per rep. That’s an indication that the product is fairly easy to sell.

Past that the product lineup needs to be something you’re passionate about, or at least you really like and would be willing to buy at the retail price even if there was no opportunity to make money from it. Again, that goes back to how easily you’ll be able to sell the product. If you wouldn’t buy it, how are you going to convince your future customers?
